St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick Catholic School offers Preschool for three and four-year-olds. The curriculum is designed to be fun and engaging while preparing children for success in Kindergarten in a safe, nurturing and faith-building environment. We follow the Archdiocese of Chicago's early childhood curriculum in all subject areas. In addition, we aim to meet the Illinois Early Learning Standards that supports the fact that children learn through play.
Providing opportunities for exploring and discovering through hands-on activities is an important part of the learning process. Both teacher-directed and child-initiated activities are used to cover all areas of development. At SASP Preschool, your child will benefit from our certified teachers who have over 20 years of teaching experience, as well as a personalized learning environment due to our small class sizes and teacher aides in each classroom.

Purpose
Purpose
Our goal is to work together with parents to provide a positive and successful “first school experience”. The purpose of our program is to support young learners by providing a nurturing environment where a child’s learning abilities continue to emerge. We encourage independent learning and focus on the individual development of each child. We strive to grow in self-confidence, develop social relationships and have the academic skills needed for kindergarten. We help our young children take their first steps on their journey of faith. In a Christ-centered environment they learn that God is the One who made them, loves them and that they are God’s child.
